With more than onehundred guests and a vivid discussion the Werkleitz Steintor Talk III could efficiently enhance the ongoing of the civic participation process. Privotal questions concerning the area's future function and layout have been discussed between citizens, city planners and public transport specialists.

Within the third talk on Steintor area on 4. June representatives of the agency of urban planning and public transportation company HAVAG present first concept studies for the transformation of the square Am Steintor. Therewith they refer to some of the sketches which have been produced during the round table on 3. April. Afterwards there will be opportunity for a public discussion.

The public talks' sequence about Steintor has continued.
Linking up to the introduction of several executives, inhabitants and planning staff within the public talk in February, we got into a conversation about the urban potential of the Steintor with inhabitants and guests on 3rd April.
On the round table ideas and conceptions have been discussed, evolved and sketched out.
The talk was based on sketches of Steintor square from the last meeting and on a study of the architect group stadtgestalten. As a professional guest we had invited Dr. Harald Kegler, freelance city planner.

On thrusday, the 16th February, 7 p.m. the network Räume Öffnen and Werkleitz lauch a public discussion about the potentials of the Steintor area, Halle. As part of the evening the architect group Stadtgestalten are going to present results of their research Halle Calling!, a current study about the situation in the neighbourhood.

Werkleitz is about to open up the neighbourhood Steintor as festival venue for Werkleitz festival 2012 .move forward - new Mexican-European media art.
